Meter removal or the isolation of the gas supply to a premise by use of the ECV and sealing in the “off” position, ECOM will manage the co-ordination of site visits with the client and the client’s representatives as well as ECOM Ofgem Accredited Meter Installers (OAMI’s). ECOM will purge all downstream pipework either during or prior to meter removal in order to make the system safe. All removed meter will be removed from the site and be made available to its owner in accordance with MAMCoP requirements; pipework can be undertaken by prior arrangement.
